Distortion

A meta-model violation in which information is twisted (e.g. mind-reading, cause-effect claims, lost performatives).

Distortion warps the relationship between facts. Common forms include mind-reading ('she's angry at me'), cause-effect leaps ('his tone made me anxious'), complex equivalence ('if you loved me, you would call'), and lost performatives ('it's wrong to ask for help'). Each distortion has a corresponding meta-model question that surfaces the missing logic.
