What the verified badge means.
Verification is not a marketing label. It is a four-step check we run before a practitioner gets the badge, and an ongoing standard we hold them to. Here is exactly what we check.
- 1
Certification verification
We check the practitioner's NLP certification with the issuing body (ABNLP, ANLP, INLPTA, SNLP, etc). We verify the certification level claimed (Practitioner, Master Practitioner, Trainer) and the year issued. Self-issued certificates and certifications from organisations we cannot independently verify do not pass this step.
- 2
Identity confirmation
We confirm the practitioner is who they say they are via government ID and an active professional presence (a registered business, an active LinkedIn or professional website) for at least 12 months. This step exists to prevent assumed identities and stale profiles.
- 3
Practice review
We spend 30-60 minutes reviewing the practitioner's stated scope of practice — what they offer, what they explicitly do not offer, how they handle clients whose needs fall outside NLP coaching, and how they describe contraindications. A practitioner who cannot articulate when to refer out does not pass this step.
- 4
Ongoing standards
Verification is reviewed annually. We hold verified practitioners to: prompt response to inquiries (1-2 business days), honest pricing displayed on profile, willingness to provide a free discovery call, and no complaints upheld through our review process. Failing any of these triggers re-review.
What verification is not
- It is not a guarantee of clinical outcomes. NLP coaching is not regulated as therapy.
- It is not an endorsement of every claim a practitioner makes on their site or marketing.
- It is not a substitute for your own discovery call. We strongly encourage the free discovery call before booking paid sessions.
- It is not permanent. We revoke verification if standards slip.
Reporting a concern
If you've had a session experience that does not match the verification standards above, we want to know. Reports are confidential and reviewed by humans, not algorithms. Email trust@nlpcoachings.com or use the contact form and select "Trust & safety" as the topic.
