Stimulus
Any sensory input - touch, sound, image, smell, taste - that can become an anchor's trigger.
In anchoring work, the stimulus is the deliberately chosen trigger: a unique knuckle squeeze, a specific tone, a pictured image. Effective anchor stimuli are unique (not part of everyday life), repeatable (the trainer can reproduce them exactly), and timed (applied at the peak of the target state).
